Hey Valery! I'll be scheduling a 25m for either Alamogordo or El Paso in February. Probably 2/6-7. It SHOULD be considerably milder down south than it is in Albuquerque at that time.

Congratulations to Matt for winning the fun shoot!

This weekend was fun!. It was great to have each one of you shooters out and on the line.

What could be better than spending the weekend at a fantastic range with great weather, learning about our heritage! It was great to some father-son and grandfather-grandson groups on the line.

 We had a great group of students who came ready to learn. We started the day with hearing about history and learning about safety. We then shot the first hits count target of the weekend.Out of 10 shooters, we had 6 hit all three shots in the 100, 3 hit all in the 200, 3 hit all in the 300, 0 hit all in the 400 and 2 hit the shingle.

We learned the six steps of firing the shot, natural point of aim, and the prone position and sling use. We worked on several drills in the process of learning this. We heard the second strike of the match before learning talking targets and inches, minutes, clicks. We performed several drills including carding the sights. We then moved to learning seated and standing positions and working through an AQT.  Matt reconfirmed his Rifleman with a score of 213. We also heard the story of the third strike of the match.

We finished the day with a hits count target. Out of 8 shooters, we had 5 hit all three shots in the 100, 4 hit all in the 200, 2 hit all in the 300, 4 hit all in the 400.

Sunday brought more great weather. We started with reviewing the positions, six steps of firing the shot with natural point of aim, and safety before shooting the hits count target. Out of 7 shooters, we had all 7 hit all three shots in the 100, 4 hit all in the 200, 2 hit all in the 300, 4 hit all in the 400 and 2 hit the shingle with Matt clearing the target!

We moved on to AQTs and a Parker's Revenge fun shoot. We ended the day with the last hits count target. Out of 6 shooters, we had 4 hit all three shots in the 100, 2 hit all in the 200, 1 hit all in the 300, 1 hit all in the 400.
