It was a beautiful weekend for Patriots' Day at the Hernando Sportsman's Club. Twelve students showed up on Saturday and twelve shooters left on Sunday.

We heard the Three Stikes and some inspirational biographies during breaks and made good use of our time. Master Instructor, PHenry regaled us with history and quotes of the Founders throughout the weekend. Sunday we observed the solemn Memorial Volley honoring the Patriots who gave all on April 19th, 1775. Some big guns came out for the volley making it a very memorable and LOUD occasion.

By the end, one shooter had requalified Rifleman. Alyssa, with 233, shot the highest score overall. She was awarded the "Rifleman's Wisdom" poster. Appleseed playing card decks were awarded for high scores with Katherine taking the scoped prize with a score of 196 and John who shot a 200 with iron sights at his first event. Overall, there was one Rifleman, six Sharpshooters, and four Marksmen.

It was a pleasure to present the William Diamond Patch and Road to Rifleman Certificate to fourteen-year-old Eucebia. She progressed from a score of 163 to a high score of 194. She's a 4-H shooter and is home-schooled. It does make a difference!

Trident (Kevin)  earned his ten-event service pin and Bigcountry (Mark) was promoted to IIT-1. Congratulations gentlemen!

As always, Hernando Sportsman's Club was an awesome venue for shooting. We thank them for their hospitality.
