I was very thankful for the overcast we had for the 2nd Annual One Day KD event at Douglas Ridge Rifle Club.   The clouds and sprinkles were a nice change from the heat we have been experiencing in the NW.  The One Day KD event was basically an opportunity for the participants to practice their KD skills at ranges of 100 - 400 yards.   Since this was only a one day event, there was minimal instruction and maximum trigger time.   The participants were able to shoot 3 KD AQT during the event.

Thanks to everyone that showed up for the event.   We ended up with 18 participants, which is a full line for the range.   This worked out great, as we did not have to run relays, which makes the event run faster.

Out of the 18 participants, we had 7 new KD Rifleman and 2 repeat Rifleman.  Huzzah, Huzzah, Huzzah!   It was really a great watching (and listening to) 18 Americans shooting their centerfire rifles in unison.

I will get some picture posted soon.

Huge thank you to Prescott and Kimber custom....It was a perfect day...As someone who is fairly new to this kind of shooting it is an amazing experience to be able to account for all ten rounds on my target....with a self supported rifle with iron sights at 400 yrds with a 223.....I am hooked and can't wait to do it again!
