Neglecting our Heritage is Evidently Not a New Phenomenon

Post this here as there doesn't seem to be any boards which are writable, not scheduled for destruction.

Interesting and long article.

In the revamp it would be nice if there was a general postable/readable history board, equally prominent to the "Road to Rifleman".

We are supposed to be equally Marksmanship and Heritage yet the disucussions of history and stories are relegated to a history  subboard on the instructor boards which most IITs and visitors cannot see.

What a wonderful article! Very eye opening about indifference toward our heritage, throughout the years of trying to preserve the estate. I was especially shocked at the attempt to put a sewage plant across the Potomac, in the 1950s. Seemed like they should have known better by then.
