This is an Advanced Known Distance event. Only previous Appleseed attendees should sign up.
This event will require a Centerfire rifle.
Address: Parker Hill Rd, Columbia Falls, MT
Website: www.nvsc.info
This will be a one day, long distance Appleseed event, with centerfire rifles and ranges out to and beyond 400 yards. It is strongly recommended, but not required that participants have attended an Appleseed event previously. as we will be spending a little less time on the basics and more time on the challenges of true distance shooting, in the cold. History will be a mix of April 19th and Washington's Crossing. This is February in Montana, so dress warmly in layers and bring whatever you might need to stay comfortable whatever the weather may be. The only weather that may cancel the event is if enough snow falls the night before to block road access to the range before we can plow it. Otherwise, WE EMBRACE THE CHALLENGE! We will have a fire going in the wood stove, but it is only under the covered firing line, there is no other shelter to speak of. For further questions contact the shoot boss at 260-8297."

State Laws to be aware of:
It is the responsibility of attendees to know and comply with all State and Federal Firearms Laws.
Montana has very friendly gun laws; if in doubt follow the laws of your home state and you'll be well within compliance.
Misc:
Loaner .22 rifles are sometime available by pre-arrangement, contact the shoot boss ahead of time if you may need help acquiring a rifle to borrow.
Bring your .22's and save money! Or you can bring your centerfire, as the range will accommodate either. We may or may not have the opportunity to fire at known (looong) distance) out to 400 yards, depending on other activity at the club range on sunday afternoon.
Also, bring plenty of warm and waterproof clothes appropriate for the weather, as there is very little shelter at the range and we will be outside all day. Bring whatever you need to be comfortable in outdoor (field) conditions. A folding style camp chair is quite handy. Water, food (we have working lunches), sunscreen, etc.
For the rifle don't forget to bring ammo (400 rounds minimum), ear protection, eye protection, sling, mat or pad, several magazines, hat, staple gun, sunglasses.
