SPONSOR
The “250 for America’s 250 Marksmanship Challenge” (“Contest”) is sponsored by the Revolutionary War Veterans Association, a North Carolina nonprofit corporation recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (“Sponsor”), with its principal place of business at [Address], North Carolina.

Prizes are furnished and distributed by Waco Tactical Fitness, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation dedicated to supporting and hosting youth marksmanship activities.

CONTEST TYPE; NO ELEMENT OF CHANCE
This Contest is a bona fide contest of skill. Winners are determined solely by objective, pre-established performance criteria. No element of chance, randomness, or luck is involved in determining winners. This Contest is not a sweepstakes, raffle, or lottery.

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to participate or receive a prize, an individual must:

1. Be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of participation;
2. Be legally eligible to possess and receive a firearm under all applicable federal, state, and local laws;
3. Present valid government-issued photo identification;
4. Be able to complete all state, local, and federal firearm transfer requirements;
5. Attend a Project Appleseed 25m Rifle event.

Employees, officers, directors, agents, volunteers of Sponsor are NOT eligible to win.

CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest begins on 1/2/2026 and ends on 12/31/2026 (“Contest Period”) or until prizes are exhausted. Sponsor’s timekeeping shall control all determinations.

ENTRY AND ENTRY FEE DISCLOSURE
Participation requires registration for and attendance at a rifle clinic conducted by Sponsor during the Contest Period, and completion of the designated scoring course of fire (“AQT”).
An entry fee is required to participate in the rifle clinic.
The entry fee is charged solely to cover instruction, range use, targets, supervision, insurance, and administrative costs associated with conducting the clinic.
The entry fee does not constitute consideration for a chance to win a prize, is not paid for the purpose of winning any prize, and no portion of the fee is paid towards the prize.

SCORING; DETERMINATION OF WINNERS
A participant will be deemed a Winner only if the participant achieves 250 points of 250 points on the designated scoring course of fire “Appleseed Qualification Test” as defined by Sponsor’s published scoring criteria in the RWVA Instructor Manual:

• Score must be achieved during a scheduled event and confirmed by Shoot Boss
• The target must be signed by the Shoot Boss and a large clear photo posted to the IAAR for official verification by ISAAC.
• AQT must be timed
• Targets must be at 25 meters
• Must be a natural 250 – no .30 cal rule
• No artificial support between participant and rifle (i.e. USGI Sling only)

The designated course of fire may use Adaptive Appleseed rules, but no prize will be awarded to any participant who uses a bench, fires from a benchrest position, or uses physical supports in lieu of the use of a USGI rifle sling.

(e.g. A participant attempts the AQT without transitions as an Adaptive Appleseed participant, due to disability or medical need, and scores a 250. The participant is eligible for a prize. A second participant places a shooting bag between chest and floor during the event and scores 250. The participant would not be eligible receive a prize. A third participant uses a support to aid in safely transitioning, and uses a rifle sling with no support between the body and the rifle. The participant is eligible for a prize. It is the Sponsor’s intent to be inclusive of all persons in this contest; Sponsor asks that participants will not use Adaptive Appleseed rules for the sole purpose of improving scores or attempting to win prizes.)

Scoring shall be based exclusively on objective, measurable performance standards, and shall be administered by one or more designated scoring judges, after submission by a Project Appleseed Shoot Boss.

All scoring determinations are final and binding.

There is a limit of three (3) total Winners. The first three (3) participants who achieve a score of 250, have their score confirmed by a shoot boss, and judged by the designated scoring judge, shall be eligible to receive a prize, subject to compliance with these Official Rules and applicable law.

PRIZE
Each Winner shall receive one (1) .22 caliber rifle with an approximate retail value not to exceed six hundred dollars ($600.00).
The make, model, and other configuration of the rifle shall be at the sole discretion of the Sponsor and Waco Tactical Fitness and may be subject to change without notice.

Limit one (1) prize per person. Prizes are non-transferable, non-assignable, and not redeemable for cash or substitution, except as required by law.

ODDS OF WINNING
Odds of winning depend solely on individual skill and the number of participants who achieve a perfect score.

FIREARM TRANSFER; LEGAL COMPLIANCE
All firearm prizes shall be transferred strictly in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

• All firearm transfers shall be completed through a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) designated by Sponsor.
• Winners must complete ATF Form 4473 and successfully pass a National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) check, unless exempt under law.
• Sponsor will not directly deliver a firearm to any Winner.
• Failure to satisfy any legal requirement shall result in forfeiture of the prize, with no substitute or compensation.
• Winners are responsible for all transfer fees, background check fees, shipping costs, and any other costs associated with lawful transfer.
• Failure to accept or arrange for transfer after a reasonable period of time shall result in forfeiture of the prize, with no substitute or compensation.

PRIZE NOTIFICATION AND DELIVERY
Winners will be notified following verification of scoring and eligibility. Prizes will be made available for lawful transfer within a reasonable time after verification, but not more than ten (10) business days.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY
By participating, each participant knowingly and voluntarily releases and holds harmless Sponsor and its officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from participation in the Contest or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Participants acknowledge that firearms training and live-fire activities involve inherent risks of serious injury or death. Participants voluntarily assume all such risks.

PUBLICITY RELEASE
Except where prohibited by law, participation constitutes consent to Sponsor’s use of a Winner’s name, likeness, and general prize information for promotional purposes without additional compensation.

PRIVACY
Information collected will be used solely for administering the Contest and complying with legal obligations and will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

GOVERNING LAW; VENUE
These Official Rules and the Contest are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.

SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Official Rules is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
