Racine, WI KD September 6th

A great day to model liberty at Racine County Line Rifle Club (RCLRC). Weather was about perfect, the range was dry and breezes were gentle.

After classroom instruction our 5 shooters headed out on the range for "data collection ". But wait...first there is the matter of Morgan's Shingle! At a passed off range from a marked yardage the shooters were challenged to determine their OWN range estimation using what they had at their disposal and what was taught moments earlier.

Congratulations Kieth for your hitting the shingle. Now get marching (LOL).

Racine has offered and Appleseed cadre has taken them up on using the electronic "shot markers". There were glitches as we learned the system and had some hub connectivity challenges to deal with, but overall it worked well for the data collection phase.

Moving into the AQTs, those challenges were a bit more frustrating. We did have one shooter who shot a KD qualifying score, but it took some IAO to work this through and it took some time to determine the proper outcome. Congratulations to you Charles (we will be in contact with you on the matter).

Overall, this was an informative event and we believe all involved went home with som valuable information (as a Rifleman always does).
