Fellow Seeders:

After 13 years, 97 events and careful deliberation, I have decided to leave the program.

This has been a life-changing journey for me and will always cherish the friendships that I have made through the years with the other Shoot Bosses, Instructors, IIT's and students. I feel that the program and its mission has been a most rewarding portion of my life. Almost all of the people I consider to be close friends are people I have met through Appleseed. I will miss all of you and hope to meet everyone again at future events but this time as a student and not an instructor.

Hope to see you all again somewhere down the trail.

lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader."

Don,
I'm sorry to see you go, but understand. It has been a pleasure meeting you, working with you, and knowing you. You sir, truly are a great man.
Until we meet again,

Gosh -- I hate that I haven't had the opportunity to work with you.  We would LOVE to have you come visit us in Florida!  Thank you for the time and effort you have put into this program.  I know that you have touched some lives, probably more than you know.

ACCEPT YOUR WOBBLE!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again."  Ronald Reagan

Don, thank you for all you've done. Not just for representing Project Appleseed, but for the students on the firing line whom you have so greatly influenced.

You were very instrumental in my journey from first-time Appleseed student at Gibsonburg, through obtaining a Red Hat. Your words were always encouraging and supportive.
Your dedication and commitment to Project Appleseed, second to none.

You will be greatly missed.

I wish you the best,
God bless you,
Chico

Don,
We've been friends for a LONG time. I will always remember my first shot at 500 yards when you were on the spotting scope and I hit the target. That was a highlight for me and I am so glad to have shared that with you. I will miss you from Appleseed. But, I'm sure our friendship will continue. Looking forward to seeing you at Perry this summer.

Seasons of life are a thing for all of us.  While we hate to see a respected colleague step away (short or long term), you're always part of the Appleseed family.  Thirteen years and almost a hundred events?  Wow!

It was a pleasure working with you at the Liberty Center Shoot Boss Camp.  You provided some excellent contributions that helped better everyone in the class.

Your help at the recent NRA Annual Meeting in Indianapolis was much appreciated.  You connected with lots of people there.

Thanks so much for your hard work and leadership.  I hope to see you on the line as a shooter or as an instructor again.  The door will always be open for you.   O0

Thanks for all you've done. And hopefully you'll continue to spread the cause of Liberty in one way or another.

Maybe stir things up at city council or school board meetings. There's plenty of things a person can do.

Don, I just read your post and can only echo to comments left by others. For me, it was always great to work for you at events. You always had the right tool or gadget to the occasion. Your presentations were always to the point and beyond. I want to thank you for the mentoring provided to me at the rifle clinics you bossed. I look forward to seeing you on the trail.

Don, Thank you so much! From the bottom of my heart I will tell you if it were not for you and your instruction (and sweet Ruger 10/22 you let me borrow) I'd have probably never gotten my rifleman patch and starting following my renewed interest in the shooting sports. Your expertise, instruction skills and generally kind and steady demeanor will be missed.
Hope to see you again- down the line.
