I'm going to be in the Boston area for a few days this week for work and can't miss the chance to see the Green or the North Bridge.  The North Bridge visitor center is closed until May so I'll probably just be doing this on my own.  Anything I can plan to do or see in the evenings or any online guides I can use to my advantage?

Thanks!

Dining on the North End shouldn't be missed. It's the Italian district, and omg....

Another option for daytime is the Freedom Trail.  It's a walking tour of historic sites that starts at the Common and ends at Faneuil Hall. It takes less than 2 hours, is conducted by players in period dress, and they run all year unless the weather is really bad. My tour guide was Ebenezer Hancock, John's younger (and somewhat less fiscally gifted) brother.

My wife and I went and spent four days at Concord last year.We took a bus tour and also had a private guide(Richard O0).My visit to the locations of the "Three Strikes" and actually walk the ground was something I won't ever forget.Make the time is my advice.

Thanks both of you.  I wasn't able to do the Freedom Trail Tour in Boston but did get the three strikes plus DOM out.  I rented a bicycle to ride about 4 miles out and back of the trail then drove my car and walked the rest.

All told I had 7.5 miles of biking, 3 or 4 of walking and lots of driving twisty roads.  I'll post a thread later with the info.  One thing that was very frustrating was finding the Sam Whittemore monument.  That was as hard to find as he was to kill!
