Well another great event is in the books for Orwell Gun Club. A great big hearty thanks goes out to all the members of this club that supports Appleseed. Without ranges like Orwell hosting events this program would not be able to survive. Thank you!!

What a great event we had. 8 patriots showed up Saturday morning eager to drink from the fire hose of instructions. 5 of them were 16 years of age and under. WOW!! A great big thanks to the parents for bringing these youth to AS events and learning about the history and heritage of our great nation. Being able to award 5 William Diamond patches to these fine youth was a very special moment for all.

We had plenty of instructors on hand to help out with this event. Having two members of the Applecore cadre handling check in and chasing down a great lunch for all is a huge help. And, a great big thank you to Christine for bringing the awesome chili and Kielbasa/sausage also. 

Saturday morning redcoat was shot to begin the event and results showed that we had plenty of room for improvement. The Saturday afternoon redcoat definitely showed that the instruction was well received by all.

Everyone got to enjoy a great 1st strike by Corvette followed up by Birdman with the 2nd strike and CDH with the 3rd strike. The history and heritage was well received by all attendees.

The weather smiled on us all weekend. (This is North East Ohio so....) Kind of cool in the mornings but the rain held off just enough on Saturday for us to get everything in. And, the weather on Sunday was just amazing.

Sadly we only had one cleared redcoat by Dan for the entire weekend but everyone showed so much improvement overall. We did not the chance to award any rifleman patches but so much improvement was seen that I am certain that this group will certainly get a patch at their next event for sure.

Thank you to everyone for their support. I certainly appreciate it.

Great event, great shooters and great early fall weather.  Line was loaded with youth and female shooters.  Couldn't ask for anything more. 

Congrats on CDH earning his Green Hat and to the other instructors that earned their promotions.

Thanks for the great pics.  It was really special that you posted the pic of Crazyduckhunter and Meadow signing the official Ohio Green hat with all the signatures of past Shoot Bosses.  This is a special memory for so many of us (including you).  Thanks.
