Wow what a great weekend. 13 Shooters turned out in less than favorable Florida conditions to work on their pistol skills. The days started off slow with dry fire and lots of work on position, grip and trigger control.  As we worked into live fire shooting the group was steadfast with the safety rules.
With ages 18 to 70+ on the line we continued through the 19 MPH cold wind all day on Saturday. Our squares targets proved we had lots of work to do. Center square may have been our target but getting it on paper was a goal for many.

By Sunday afternoon this had all changed for most. We had gone from having trouble getting a mag inserted into the pistol to doing it without looking and getting all 10 rounds off in 15 seconds or less. Maybe our proudest moment was when our youngest shooter who had only shot a pistol twice before this weekend fumbled her mag change. She recovered her mag and slammed it on the table to seat it in the mag well, finished her course of fire and had a smile on her face.

Two new Pistoleerâ„¢s were discovered this weekend. Maribel with a 212 and John with a 210. John took the north bridge water over his head in the cold like a champ.

All shooters learned something this weekend. Many learned that the pistol they were shooting was just not the right fit for them but knowing is half the battle. With some hand strengthening and dry fire practice we can make it work.

Other great scores from this weekend. Geo with a 200 Jay with a 194, KC with a 140.  Many other saw great improvement. Some shooters like Jeff doubled there scores from late Saturday to late Sunday.

We hope to see you all on th eline again soon.

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
