Myakka, Fl AAR - January 18-19, 2020

Wow what a great weekend. I read after action reports from around the country and see issues with people being stuck in their car from the ice storm. Here in Myakka we had great weather and needed our sun screen.
With that great weather came a great bunch of Americans. We had a total of 14 people come out and spend the weekend learning about their heritage the constitution and marksmanship, and boy did they learn.
On day one we had two people shoot rifleman scores with John turning in a high score of 237. Not to be out done Christopher turned in a 217 at his first Appleseed that same day.

As day two rolled around the fire hose of instruction opened up fully. The morning was a quick review of everything  we learned on Saturday and time to work through some equipment issues. After a few rifle changes we were on to our AQTs.


Two of our youth shooters were shooting bolt actions rifles on Saturday and doing great but after switching to Semi Auto their scores really shot up.  Russ turned in a 192, 193 and a 197. If we can just keep his eye protection on he will be a rifleman soon.

Ethan turned in a high score of 153. Remember Ethan a Rifleman will persist.

Jacob it was a joy having you at the shoot. The rifle was just about as big as you were but you handled it like a pro.

And then Kiana. She proved the saying "Shoot like a girl, if you can!" Turning in scores of 186, 208, 224 and 231  Outstanding!

But we are not out of rifleman yet. Ron and Bruce both turned in rifleman scores this weekend as well, with Bruce turning in an exact 210 followed up by a 227. In true Florida style we doused him in north bridge water for his 210 score.

It was truly a pleasure meeting and working with you all this weekend and hope to see you again soon.  Several instructors took pictures and will hopefully have them posted soon.
