A great turn-out by a group of folks who came ready to listen, to learn, and to do. We opened the day with a safety briefing, then went on to some instruction on how to sling up a rifle, steady-hold-factors, the six-steps to firing a shot, then to Natural Point of AIM. Before long, we had some who were showing that they "Knew what they were about" and ready to shot it.

Since this was a one-day event, we spent considerable time on ensuring that everyone had the opportunity to master the basics.

We shared some stories about some Dangerous Old Men, and saved the rest of the history for the following day, after a group pot-luck lunch. Thanks to Ron, Dom and Joe for covering this section.

What a great event. Only a little rain, not cold, not hot. What more could we have asked for?

To round out the event, I was able to place a Red Hat on CrazyDuckHunter. Well deserved and earned!

Here are a few photos, if anyone has any more, please feel free to post them.

Always a good time at Orwell for each and every event. This one day event was definitely a special one. The main person to make this event happen was Gary from a local church group that asked if we would put on this one day so that more church members would attend. This way they did not miss their Sunday meetings and worship. We readily agreed. The next day, on Sunday, Dom, Joe and myself joined the church group for lunch and then presented the 3 strikes. Thanks to all that assisted with this event. We even had two club members help us throughout the day on all aspects and one of these I expect to take a blue hat at the regular event next month at Orwell.
