..Westchester, NY March 15-16, 2014..
« on: March 17, 2014, 04:08:28 PM »
..Westchester's Blue Mountain Sportsman Center helps us to get the word out once again.  Thank goodness for the County workers and their hospitality to Project Appleseed, they make us feel right at home. The weekend starts out in the club house where we dig right into the mission of Project Appleseed.  What we are and what we are not.  Why we teach our American Heritage and how important April 19th 1775 is to us as American Citizens. We cover safety and all that implies to our weekend. We hand out tons of great information along with signing in and introductions, by the time we hit the range and fire the first shots we are already all on the same page and our volleys sound like a well oiled machine.  Who to thank?, but the fine Appleseed Instructors who tirelessly work year in and year out along side of me teaching and assisting in hopes of a better future.  They are the working gears that keep Project Appleseed's heart beating and I thank them for their much appreciated efforts.  Now on to the shooters, man was it a good group.  Groups were tight right out the gate and their listening skills were sharp.  That enabled us to make the most out of each day.  Thank you to our Patrons who know what they are about.

As Josey Wales has already mentioned the Blue Mountain Sportsman Center located in Westchester, NY hosted another very successful Appleseed Event.
Thanks to all involved. The Range, Instructors and especially the Shooters. Great job all.

Bright and sunny with snow on the ground, cold and a bit of a wind made it feel much colder then expected but these conditions didn't hamper our Shooters.
  5 New Rifleman...Congrats
1 New IIT...........Congrats and thanks for stepping up.
And a weekend to remember by all.

Here are a few photos, Enjoy.................
        OUR FOREFATHERS WOULD BE
                SHOOTING BY NOW!

Wish I could have been there!

Yeah, so it took me a month to sit down with this ancient camera, fire up the darkroom, develop the film and make a couple prints...  I really need to go digital!

It was a pleasure to work again with my old friends Josey Wales and VietVet.  I hear you guys are each changing your names to Josey Vet, or Viet Wales...  and I have only been hearing good things about Grumpy1, so it was a pleasure to finally put face to reputation.  Great Instructor crew.

First time I been to this range and thanks to JW for letting me call the line.  I was a test to put my outdoor voice against all them AR's doing carbine training ten feet away from us.  Of course we all know who won, but this is NOT a quiet range.

Congrats to all our Riflemen.  Sorry I wasn't there on Sunday, but my college daughter had an emergency (out of cash) and this event was obviously in good hands.  Nevertheless I regret missing my friend Tim taking the patch on his second ever AQT.  Who says lawyers can't shoot!

Okay kDan, shut up and deliver some photos!

This is the muzzle!

Those are the targets!  End of Lesson!

I don't know why they call him Grumpy1.  He looks positively STOKED to be holding VietVet's paperwork.

What's weird here?  I'll tell you what's weird here.  Notice they all got their ears on during a talking moment?  This is NOT a quiet range.

Who's target is this?  Did you cheat?  You can be honest.  Did you cheat?

I can't think of anything funny to say here, but he's just so damn handsome.  Ladies, am I right?
