Good week all,

I thought I would give you a heads up on a few things going on:

New Ranges with EIP and HostApp (done or in progress):

Cedar River Conservation Club - shoot is being scheduled for June after the high school trap tournaments end.
Faribault Rifle and Pistol Club - BuzzG is working with this club to setup up a shoot

Libertyseeds

I spoke with Ironwood Springs.  They are inviting us to do a Libertyseed on Sept 20-21.  More details to come as they solidify their event schedule.

Promotions

Praise Fellowship Church in Dodge Center has invited us to run a promo table at their "Big Sportsman Event" on 28 March:  http://www.pfc-of-dc.org/about-us/sportsmans-outreach-activities/
I have been asked to present the Appleseed Project to the Dodge Center Gun range (they have a 300yrd range), but no date has been set yet.

Follow up from the State Meeting on 22 Febr

I did a parse of the DNR rifle range website information and came up with 3 locations that may be acceptable for known distance.  According to the DNR these locations have 500yrd+.  No contacts have been made, just data assembled.

  • Harris
  • Hibbing
  • Fort Ripley

Additional follow up from the meeting:  I am assembling a "win-win" strategy that I will use to pitch to Fleet Farm, Runnings, etc.  to attempt to have Appleseed incorporated into their organization's sales.  I am researching what other teams, states, and organization have done to make this happen.   I will send out a communication once I have a draft.

What else is going on?   ;D  ^:)^

Owning a chainsaw doesn't make you a logger.  Put some wood on the truck and keep all your fingers and toes at the end of the day, then I'll be impressed.  Likewise with rifles.
