Here are some great groups to add to our "contacts" lists to help promotethe shoots and teach the history we all share.


Umbrella Organizations and E-Mail Lists

Rew War List: This is a link to subscribe to the Rev War List. It is open to all who are interested in the 18th c. in the United States and Canada. There are also links to documentation and the lists archives. http://www.liming.org/revlist/

18th C. Womens List: This list deals with issues that effect women; clothing, manners, mores, status, condition, and more. Membership is open to all, not just women. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/18cWoman/

BVMA: This is a link to the BVMA (Burning of the Valleys Military Association), our umbrella organization. The members of this group work together to make the public aware of a little known facet of the American Revolutionary War, the warfare amongst the inhabitants of upstate New York in the Hudson, Mohawk and Schohary Valleys and its importance to the fight for freedom from England. http://www.bvma.org/

The Brigade of the American Revolution:The Brigade is a non-profit living history association dedicated to recreating the life and times of the common soldier of the American War for Independence, 1775-1783. Members represent elements of all the armies then involved: Continental, Militia, British, Loyalist, German, French, Spanish, and Native American forces plus civilian men, women and children. http://www.brigade.org/

The British Brigade: The British Brigade is dedicated to honouring the memories of those British and American soldiers and their families who served their country while fighting and dying for their beliefs and loyalties during the American War of Independence. http://www.britishbrigade.org/

The Continental Line: The Continental Line is a non-profit educational organization of recreated units representing the Continental Army, the various colonial militias, the Continental Navy, the Continental Marines, and units in the service of the French King during the American Revolution. http://www.continentalline.org/
