The Seattle metropolitan area is the largest population area in the Pacific Northwest and it could use some local Project Appleseed shoots.  There is a range in Graham that is being explored for possible shoots in the Puyallup area, but I think Seattle could support multiple ranges if we get the Appleseed message out.

Does anyone have experience with Tacoma Rifle and Revolver Club?  Are there any members of that club that have been to an Appleseed?  :sos:

I would love to give an Appleseed presentation to their membership/leadership to see if we could get an Appleseed shoot there.  It would also be ideal if there are some Appleseed instructors/fans in the Seattle area that would be willing to help give the presentation to the range.  If you have some answers for me or are willing to help, please let me know.

Earl is a member and they will not allow Appleseed at the range.   You will need to PM Earl for more details on the reason behind their refusal.

Thanks, Prescott.  I PM'ed Earl and his membership is not current.

I still have my sights on this range (figuratively speaking of course).  Anyone out there a member (or a friend of a member) of this gun club?  I'd like to approach the range leadership and see if we can give their membership a presentation about Project Appleseed.  Worst case scenario is some Americans are reminded of their heritage and they learn that we know what we are about.  Best case is the worst case scenario plus they catch our vision and allow us to use their range.  If their range rules prevent us from using their facility, perhaps there may be someone in their membership that can direct us to another opportunity.

All of you Seattle/Tacoma instructors, IITs, and shooters - I'm calling you out and asking for help.  :sos:

Does Ft Lewis still have a rod and gun club?  (It's only been 25 yrs since I was stationed there)  Maybe someone could talk to them.
Ignorance may be bliss, but it's not a virtue.

Maybe the Paul Bunyan Rifle & Sportsman's Club in Puyallup would be interested?

When I use to live in Tacoma I was a member of both TR&R and Paul Bunyan Rifle & Sportsman's Club. And as I remember TR&R has a separate small-bore range. Ft. Lewis has many ranges that an Appleseed Training event could be conducted at. In the case of all three locations, it will just take some leg work to approach the leadership/management of all three places to make it happen. The population demographics would certainly support a range full of participants if the word got out soon enough. Although Fort Lewis (JBLM) would take a lot of hard work. Why???.. Well, because there is such a pervasive anti-gun attitude at the Senior Leadership level in the Army.   More about this subject later when I have time...
