Going through List of Minnesota ranges and see a couple near the Cities. Since we have such a large population here we should, in my opinion, start contacting. I have sent an email to one west of the cities to broach the subject. I also see there's one south of metro that is post 435 American Legion. They host CMP shooting and may be a good place to contact. Any takers???  I can contact next week if you want.

VMT...I could use some materials to present to ranges. OR....is it downloadable? Just send a PM to let me know what to give to ranges and I will do it. National brochures would be nice to have for handouts too.

I've been a mamber of the post 435 range, it is  small,  I don't think it would work well, also they've had problems with rounds off range and were shut down for a while.  There is one west of the cities near Delano, the Rainbow Sportsmans' Club that bears looking into.

Always good to hear about a range from someone that has been there. The one out west is by Hutchinson, I emailed the contact and will keep updating as I know more.

Thanks Sven.

AFTERMATH has a bunch of the national brochures. You can grab some from him at Hinckley. I'll try to get a box of some other stuff in the mail to you tomorrow.

I'm not familiar with any of the metro ranges but I have sent some packets of info out to some in the western part of the MN. I did get the materials out to Fergus Falls and some up to Wintermute76 in Hibbing also.

I'm pretty sure I know someone who is a member there. I'm on it.

This one might be a good possibility too: http://www.kimballrgc.com/

It's just south of St. Cloud and you can join for $25.

They seem to have a real positive outlook on education. Not sure how big the rifle range is.

My contact let his membership lapse, but has offered to renew it an work with the range board in getting an AS event scheduled. Let me know how you want to proceed.

Has anybody looked at the Gopher Campfire Club in Hutchinson? http://www.gophercampfire.com/

I know some members there too.

I've been there a couple of times for the steel shoots a year or so ago. I wasn't looking at it from an AS perspective at the time, but if I remember correctly it would work for AS. It is a nice range and is certainly worth looking at.

Sent an email to Gophercampfire last week. I briefly explained Appleseed and offered to answer any questions, etc. should they want. I am prepared to go to a board meeting if necessary.
