The Ikes board is eager to have another Appleseed...I've had a couple of them now ask me when we're going to schedule another one.  A couple of them have even gone out and bought new rifles to get ready.  What days do you guys think would work?  We have Broken Bow scheduled for the weekend of the 9th and Grand Island for the 23rd.  I would rather not have it too close to the Grand Island shoot and siphon off shooters.  Maybe the weekend of October 2nd or November 6th?  The 2nd is an off week for Husker football, might help turnout.

Personally, Oct 2/3 is no good; Nov 6/7 would be better for me.  So there's my vote.  Any other Red/Orange Hats have a preference?

November would be good. Nothing on the Seed schedule for that month yet.

November 6/7 would be my preference.
Have gun. Will travel.

Sounds good, I'll talk to them about getting it on the schedule for the 6th.

Sweet.  Gibbs, once Sharps confirms, would you take care of getting the EIP to SS so it gets on the schedule?

As an aside, you NE IITs have been doing an awesome job this year.  While we didn't have the bar set very high last year with only two shoots and 26 shooters, we're doing an outstanding job growing this year with already nine scheduled shoots and a planned IBC.

The goal of Appleseed is to (at least) double every year, but I say we make it our goal in NE to quadruple our numbers from last year.  That means we need to have 104 'Seeders come through our Nebraska lines this year.  As of the end of July we are at 51, so at just over halfway through the year, we aren't quite at the halfway mark for quadruplification.  That just means all of us need to pick it up and fill the lines over the next 5 months.  For every Appleseed you come to as an IIT, you should bring at least one, possibly two, and preferably three new 'Seeders with you.  Talk to your family, your friends, your coworkers, and your neighbors to get them off the couch and on our lines.  After all, we have a country to save.

Keep up the great work; I'm proud of you guys!  >:D

I just realized November 6th won't work...it's hunter sight in day at the range on the 7th, so the range will be in use.  Somehow I missed that when I looked at the range schedule, or it was just added. :wb:

Bugger.  That little oversight will cost you a pint.   ;)

Well, the next question is... looking at the club schedule, which November weekend would work for an Appleseed?

Geez, a pint, twist my arm :)

How about November 20th?  There are matches both days (CMP and Benchrest) but they won't be using that range.  Maybe we'll have a few people stop by after their matches are done.

Right now my Nov 20/21 weekend is open, so I penciled in a Lincoln Appleseed.  What's the weekend look like for everyone else?  Let us know once you get it confirmed with Ikes so we can get the Eventbrite registration up... I'm expecting the club to step up and have the shoot sold out before the end of September, right?   :cool2:

Well, if half the people who told me they would come to the last one but didn't would show up to the next one we'd have about half the slots filled :wb:

I'll make sure the 20/21 weekend works and let you know ASAP.  The new range is coming along nicely, I spent the morning drilling holes for the target stands in some form of cement that was masquerading as clay.  That stuff was so hard we actually broke the auger.  8 holes down, 20 to go.

Ok, we're confirmed for Nov 20th/21st, if we want to get it on the official schedule.  I've got two people verbally committed so far, one "maybe", and I just found out my boss at my new job is a shooter who has a couple of sons.  I'm going to start working on him tomorrow  ~~:)

Technically, it's gibbs job as SC to schedule events.  Just make sure he has all the info he needs to submit the event to SavageShooter.
