This Memorial day members of the 2nd Co Ga Militia participated in a Commemeration event at Ft Morris in SE Georgia.
Ft. Morris was the last American outpost in Georgia to fall to the British in 1779. There was a seige/battle in which at least 6 American patriots fell.

We held hourly musket drills, cannon firings complete with taps for the fallen and a moment of silence for those presently serving.

Pictures are included. Appleseed was well represented there as well as myself, CWC400 and Militiaman 1741 were all there. We had time to hand out some Applesed promotional flyers and about a dozen of the wallet challenges. It was a good day with over 100 paid visitors and about 2 dozen free military visitors.

Enjoy the picts.
Artillery lends dignity to what would otherwise be a vulgar brawl.
