This was a good event. I got to work with a great crew of Appleseeder's eager to help and eager to learn. The orange hat instructors were all well prepared and worked really hard. It was an honor to be with them. My thanks to Three'oEight, Red Feather, Savage22, dwn4thecause, and Steve31889. My thanks also go out to Manatee Gun & Archery Club for hosting us and their generosity.

We had a great, and very dedicated group of shooters.  This was Florida in summer. The heat index was 103°F on Saturday with ≥98% humidity. $$-0 The weather really took a toll on the shooters, but they would not quit! O0 It rained Saturday night and there were problems Sunday morning with pooling water on the range with‘marshy' conditions. The weather remained unfavorable with a heat index of 104°F on Sunday again with ≥98% humidity. $$-0. Lot's of family. Lot's of fortitude!

Improvement was made by all and all reported having a great time. Young Sofia re-qualified as a Riflewoman. Aim small, miss small. Our orange hat instructors got some trigger time as well with 3 of them clearing the final red coat of the day (show-off's  &) )

I am proud for all involved and hope to see you all again!

I know there are pictures out there, so please post them.

Glad to have been a part of this event. Everyone had a smile on their face despite the hot and humid conditions. Congratulations to Sophia for re-qualifying and taking home the Riflewoman hat. I hope to see you guys continue the journey to becoming Riflemen and Riflewomen.

It was nice to finally see Three'oEight get down on a mat and throw some lead downrange.  :snipersmi
He is usually too busy running the shoot to even eat lunch.

On a side note, I opened my rifle case last night to find my rifle wet and some steel components flash rusting. Make sure you guys pull your rifles out of your cases, and let them air out to get that humidity out of them.
They tell us, sir, that we are weak; unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot? Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power.

Did anyone get pictures of the "marshy" range conditions?  With shooters would be an added bonus!  I would like to add them to the facebook page.
Bad men cannot make good citizens. It is when a people forget God that tyrants forge their chains." - Patrick Henry

The American Constitution is remarkable for its simplicity; but can only suffice a people habitually correct in their actions, and would be utterly inadequate to the wants of a different nation.  Change the domestic habits of the Americans, their religious devotion, and their high respect for morality, and it will not be necessary to change a single letter in the Constitution in order to vary the whole form of their government. - Francis Grund 1837

"In the prevailing political theory of the founding era, the family was considered one of the essential pillars of republican virtue, and it not only needed to be nurtured, but also protected from the tyranny of the government.... American revolutionaries and their descendants understood marriage and the family to be schools of republican virtue. -Mary Lyndon Shanley, Review Essay, 27 Law & Soc. Inq. 923,
