Project Appleseed

Ok Appleseeders, it's official!! Mark the date of Saturday, Nov 12th 2011 as the date of the First Kansas Appleseed First Aide Course. The Location will be the Community Room at the NEW Newton Fire Station #3 at 2520 S. Kansas.  We will run from 9:00 am in the morning to 5:00 pm at night and the plan is to have box lunches brought in for our convenience! More on that later!

Since we will be limiting the class size to 16 people, I need to have you sign up and confirm that you are coming by replying to this thread and stating that YOU are willing to step up and be counted! I am capping the maximum cost for the class at $90 per student, but we will reduce that cost as we get people signed up, 16 into $1000 makes it $62.50 per person.

So sign up and make the plans!! And we will see you on Nov 12th!!!

You might add a waiting list if we get over 16 people interested.  That way if anybody has to cancel someone else can take their spot.   

As of 8:00 pm 06/22/2011 we have 12 people signed up;

All these things are workable!

Additional Info:
This class is a one day deal from 9:00 am in the morning to 5:00 pm in the evening. Our plan is to bring in Box Lunches from a local vendor just to make it easier to work lunch in. We will have the menu posted later. Let me know if you plan to bring children and will need child care. This promises to be a fairly intense session so working the class and taking care of your own would be problematic. Sooo.. If you are interested in child care, let me know and we will see what we can do.

Well Shooters, as of 19:20 on 6/24/2011 we have our class limit of 16 people!!

Sooooo......... If you are still interested in this class, still continue to sign up here, two things will happen.

You will be placed on a waiting list and should one of our people have to back out, you will get their spot on a first come, first served basis!
The second thing that will happen is IF i get an additional 12-16 folks I will contact the Training folks at Hutchinson Community College and go about the process of creating another class.

In short, I am interested in seeing as many appleseeders get trained as possible, so still put your name on this list and I will contact you as things develop and change.

Please put Lil Lady and I on the waiting list too.  We'll surely figure out something to do with the cherubs by then.  May need a little help with Hannah though since she'll still be nursing.
