Two Bricks of 22 LR - $36.50

One new rifle with Tech Sights - $229.00

Throw a challenge at your 18 year old son - $70.00

Listen to your son talk about the battle road all the way home, collapse from exhaustion as soon as he gets out of the shower, then go back the next day with a smile on his face and make Rifleman - PRICELESS!

My deepest thanks to Dave, Ed, Bill, Greg, Amber, and the other instructors I cannot remember (so sorry). Your patience and encouragement made for the best father son day we ever had. I would also like to thank all the other attendees for their friendly encouragement and good company.

He made it! Good deal, and congratulations! I'm sorry I couldn't be there for day 2 to see it happen, but I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say the pleasure is ours to have helped.

Blessings,
Bill

The pleasure and honor are all ours for having worked with you, your son and the other shooters this weekend.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

Congratulations Dave and Dan! I know just how you feel as I have been through the same thing with my kids. I could see the pride in your eyes as Dan got his Rifleman patch. I enjoyed working with you both and look forward to working with you both in the future as I see you are now an IIT. Congratulations!

And we heard that our newest Rifleman will be leaving the Hoosier state next year to go to Colorado for...Gunsmithing School.  And most likely wearing an orange hat!

Thanks everyone.

Yes, Daniel told his mother he is thinking hard about becoming an instructor, so don't be surprised should he ask for an orange hat sometime this summer. Now he has asked to go with me to RBC in Osage Beach this fall and is working to borrow a M1 from a friend for the course.

My oldest son Jeremy, far more interested in guitars than rifles, has offered to edit any video I can get of an Appleseed. He already has put together a nice set of DVDs with menus of the US Army training films for me. I have handed several DVD copies out with Appleseed flyers. Different bucket maybe, but he is still bailing right along with us.

I am a very rich man.

Wellll, Fred will yell at me if I don't get this reminder in.
There will be an Instructor Boot Camp at Riley, IN (Terre Haute) the weekend of July 24-26.  This IBC will be run concurrently with the Appleseed that weekend at the same location.

So if any IITs want to get in some heavy duty training time, this will be the time and place to do it!  Free camping on site, hotels and food places nearby in Terre Haute.

Daniel will be in Minnesota for a few weeks then. I have a USAF friend there who has been giving Daniel some machine training in the summers. I'd like to go to the IBC but I am still cooking, for now...

Since your planning on coming to the Mini Appleseed on the 18th, I don't think you will be cooking much longer   O0         So .....I think you should sign up for the IBC  &)   Do I hear a second?

No Pressure Here!!!

Worst was a 123, best was a 190 170. I shot the last AQT of the weekend with Dave's scoped LTR, as Bill suspected my problem was poor sight picture, the front sight was just too darn close. My groups were great with the scope but everything was 6 MOA low ( that would be 1 1/2", or 24 clicks ;^).

I put the scope from my air rifle on the 10/22 last night, fixed 4X, we will see how that works out.

We will know more at the mini!

You won't have any problem Dave. You have the skills after 125 corrections for DRAGGING WOOD &) ;). I really thought you had it at that last AQT, too bad we didn't do a sighter and IMC. You had nice groups just in the wrong place. Just a matter of time. O0
