LTR coming together... with questions

Well, my 10/22 LTR is coming together nicely.  It's the 20" blued finish version with a wood stock.  I've added Uncle Mike's swivels, a web sling, Tech Sites 100 sights, a Volquartson auto bolt release plate, a Bell & Carlson extended mag release, and three extra Ruger 10 cartridge rotary Mags (so far).

Now the questions:
1.  Has anyone tried the E&L MFG dual mag holders for the Ruger mags?  Any good?  Is it okay that the feel lips of the inverted mag are exposed?
2.  I've got one mag of the four that is a little sticky when you try to eject.  Shifting the bolt handle back a barely perceptible fraction of an inch while holding the release makes it pop right out.  What could cause that?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

1. dual mag holders are a gimmick but if you want to try them........
2. The bottom of the bolt could be binding on the magazine. Look for signs of the bolt rubbing on the magazine.  Over time this may correct itself or you can help it along by locating the high spots and dressing them down a bit.

You didn't need the Volquartson auto bolt release plate, you could have modified the ruger part. get yourself a spare extractor as well.

I thought I'd keep it in case I didn't like the results.  Of course, now I love the results!

I have found some of the new black mags to fit pretty tight.  Greasing the end of the mag retainer seems to help.  All you are doing when you move the bolt is dislodging the magazine through a little pressure on top.  I have gone to all clear mags for Appleseed loaners and for when I am doing drills myself.  They seem to all drop free.  Midway runs them on sale for about $13.

We had issues with the OEM Ruger mags dropping free from a Fajen stock. They generally fell free from the birch OEM stocks, but occasionally we had a hang up. I decided to hit each side of a magazine with a few swipes of sandpaper and it dropped free no matter which rifle we put it into. I did that to all our mags and it alleviated all our problems with any hangups.

It doesn't take much, perhaps a 8-10 passes. The results speak for themselves.

I had to do the same to my wifes mags.  They wouldn't drop out of her Houge stock and this was after cleaning up the mag well.  I then resorted to sandpaper on the mags.  Now that she's happy, I'm happy ;)

I hit the four vertical corners of the mag with an emory board about six strokes each to take down any mold flashing and it drops right out.

Voile'!

Thanks for the hints, folks!
