Fort Bliss Rod and Gun Club May 9th Membership Drive Day

On rather short notice, (last Wednesday?), the El Paso Team put together a pretty good showing for the Ft Bliss Rod and Gun Club's Membership drive. There was an IDPSA and IDPA pistolero event going on, a blackpowder demonstration- imagine a Revolutionary War attired gent with an Appleseed T-Shirt - a challenge with Red Coats that some of the more swaggering folks took up.......and failed at because they had not been instructed by Appleseeders; TSRA's Rich Gilliland hawking spots on the upcoming Appleseeds in El Paso at FBRG on May 16-17 and EPCC on May 23-24; Marcia Allen's wandering about and handing out flyers while engaging folks; I was using the club's internet connection to show the RWVA website with music from the Movie "Last of the Mohicans" playing in the background.
Talked with a lot of folks about Appleseed and have commitments from several. It was good to see there are still bailers amongst the deck chair crowd here in El Paso.
