The January 2026 issue of the NRA's "American Rifleman" has a "Tips and Techniques" piece by Matt Robertson entitled "Natural Point of Aim". The article describes the concept and includes a photo of a plastic toy soldier as an illustration.

The third paragraph begins with the sentence: "The best instruction I ever received on this came from a Project Appleseed rifle shoot several years ago. The instructors emphasized..."   ^:)^

This is an excellent testament to the quality and thoroughness of our instruction.  I have several instructor certifications from different organizations, but Project Appleseed is where I spend all my instructor time because I think we provide the finest generally-available marksmanship instruction anywhere, along with our unique message placing it in the context of preserving our Liberty.

"Huzzah!" to whomever ran the rifle clinic the author attended, and to all the rest of our instructors who continue the mission.  It's nice to see some public recognition in such a prominent publication!

"The great object is that every man be armed." - Patrick Henry

"The great body of our citizens shoot less as time goes on.  We should encourage rifle practice among schoolboys, and indeed among all classes, as well as in the military services by every means in our power. Thus, and not otherwise, may we be able to assist in preserving peace in the world...The first step - in the direction of preparation to avert war if possible, and to be fit for war if it should come - is to teach men to shoot!"       - President Theodore Roosevelt's last message to Congress

It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan
