Fredericksburg, TX December 6th and 7th, 2025

We had a wonderful winter shoot in beautiful Fredericksburg, TX.  We had a full house signed up for the shoot but, unfortunately, we lost ten shooters to the flu which they had apparently picked up at a joint Trail Life event.  That said, we had a great event!  The weather was picture perfect for all those that picked up their rifles and joined us on the line.  Logan aka "Gimley" did a wonderful job by completing all the weekend's points of instruction thereby promoting to IIT3!  Congratulations, Logan!  Huge shout out to the orange hats that helped support the event: Twinkle Toes (who recently completed his 100th Appleseed event), MonocogMike, and cypherpunk!  Also, I am always thankful for the support of fellow instructors El Tejano and, my Appleseed mentor, GenXMinuteman.  Finally, my son Jakob thoroughly enjoyed his first ever Appleseed event and did a great job helping to hold the instructional signs for us.

It was my distinct pleasure to have the honor of issuing the commemorative pin to GenXMinuteman's 75th event.  We all owe a HUGE debt to high character individuals like GenXMinuteman and TwinkleToes who have made volunteering at Project Appleseed a key piece of thier lives.  The amount of hours necessary to reach that milestone is truly astounding.

Three huzzahs for GenXMinuteman and TwinkleToes!!!
