Special thanks to the Southern Lancaster County Farmers Sportsmen's Assn. for hosting us yet again.  They were very helpful in all aspects of getting ready for two days of an Appleseed Rifle Clinic.  They have invited us back there again next year, and we are in the process of setting the schedule.

The weather was fantastic Saturday but a bit damp on Sunday, and we couldn't have asked for a better weekend of marksmanship and heritage!  The shooters all persevered and greatly improved as the weekend progressed.  We worked through the day proceeding from demonstration to dry fire practice to live fire confirmation of our marksmanship instruction, combined with history and heritage.  A few equipment issues were quickly corrected by the knowledgeable staff.  History and heritage were well received and there were some great discussions.

Two shooters could not return on Sunday, but we worked through Sunday morning drills, an early lunch with KD, and then on to AQT's.  Everyone showed great improvement as the day progressed.  The shooters had the process down pretty well, so we proceeded at a good pace. The Time Monkey stayed off our backs, and quite a few AQT's were shot, as well as the enthusiastically received Parker's Revenge (win by the Right Team).

The shooters showed those pesky Redcoats the strength of our cause on both the AQT and Hits Count Targets. We have TWO Riflemen new to Appleseed who shot score for the first time, in addition to three who requalified!  Huzza!  Andrew was also bathed in the water of the North Bridge for an exact Rifleman score of 210.  Huzza!  Six shooters also cleared the Redcoat target, with Earl doing so seated and Katie clearing all 4 Redcoats for the weekend.  Huzza!

Thanks to all the shooters, instructors and the Southern Lancaster County Farmers Sportsmen's Assn.  for a great weekend.

What a great weekend event this was! All of the instructors were excellent, both in marksmanship and history.

Although I am a repeat offender, I always learn or am reminded of a technique that improves my shooting. (This was my 18th Appleseed event - and no, I do not wish to become an orange hat. 😜)

You do look very good in Orange though!  Just sayin'.
