Two beautiful days were in store for the 13 KD shooters at the Henry County Gun Club, October 11-12. The event began in the club house where the typical lessons and instructions were covered before proceeding to the range and engaging Morgan's Shingles with single cold bore shots. Four shooters, Jerry, John, Dan and Don were successful at this endeavor. Sunday morning, two more shooters, William and Gerald, accomplished the same task.

As Saturday continued, positions and transitions were explained, demonstrated and practiced, sighting shots were fired, and AQTs were shot from 100 yards to 400 yards. History was presented both days at lunch.

Sunday began at the range where additional lessons and presentations were given. Range Estimation was discussed and the shooters calibrated their scopes and performed two range estimation exercises. This was followed by Morgan's Shingle, as mentioned above. Then a sighter group was shot at 100 yards and the AQTs were begun.

We were delighted that MattNH traveled south to join our group of instructors. We all worked together seamlessly.

Six shooters achieved the KD Rifleman's Score; some shot it multiple times: Patricia, 41; Dan, 41; Don, 41, 43; William, 45, 43, 40; John, 46, 40; and Jerry with a Distinguished Score of 48. And Zach was soooo close.

So overall, six shooters shot Morgan's Shingle and six shot the KD Rifleman's Score. Congratulations to them all!
