Special thanks to the Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club for hosting us for the umpteenth time.  They again donated their entire Rifle Range to us on Friday and the Combat Range on Saturday, and were very helpful in all aspects of getting ready for the weekend at an Appleseed 200 yard RKD.  Big thank you to Anita, Lorin, Dale and Mark.  And we are headed back there again next year for a 25m Rifle event and another 200 yard RKD - dates to be announced!  Huzza!

The weather was great both days, sunny and seasonally warm, and we couldn't have asked for a better weekend of marksmanship and heritage!  The shooters were all experienced, which was obvious on the first Redcoat – 6 of the 8 scored at 300 or 400 yards, with 1 clearing the target!

Several marksmanship improvement drills were used, and everyone was very receptive to the course of instruction.    We tried the 50 yard AQT followed by a 25 yard version.  Improvement was obvious, with several dramatic improvements.

The shooters showed those pesky Redcoats the strength of our cause on both the AQT and Hits Count Targets, and we have many Rifleman who requalified.  And four cleared the Redcoat target as well, with Josh, Shawn and Zack doing so at 50 yards!  Huzza!

Thanks to all the shooters and the Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club for a great weekend.

Yates thank you for offering this event for those that cannot attend on Sundays.
Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery
