It was a memorable Patriots Day at L.E. Duncans Rainbow range. We had 13 shooters early on Saturday with two that dropped out after lunch. Almost all 11 of the shooters arrived early on Saturday and helped with cleanup Saturday afternoon. The same on Sunday. We had a number of no shows that I believe can be attributed to the weather, we had rain and 30mph wind gusts through out both days along with temperatures in the 40's which is cold for CA. Despite these conditions we had 8 out of 11 shooters shoot their rifleman scores, 2 of these were repeats. It was great seeing the smiles on their faces. I want to thank the shooters for listening to the instruction and the instructors for their dedication to the program. I apologize for the picture resolution, we had phone issues. Also I would like to thank Matt for taking the Orange hat.



A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks.
