Another glorious day for Liberty in the Palmetto State.  Nestled into a hollow amidst Francis Marion and Thomas Sumter National Forest, 9 hardy souls began their paths to Riflemen on Saturday.  The weather was warm for some, but all persisted and improvement was seen by all. The history was riveting and impactful.

On Sunday 6 returned to hear about how the Battle of Sullivan's Island impacted the Revolutionary War.
We left the weekend tired, but with one student earning the Rifleman patch and two Instructors requalifying.

Instructors for the weekend were Upacreek, Jemac, Peter Francisco, DEH.

This range is pretty neat.  Out in the middle of nowhere, yet just a couple miles from town.  As always, it's awesome to see families come out - and neighbors that seem like family and meet other volunteers.  Congrats on requalifying John and Joe.  Those new patches and targets look very cool.  Everyone else was doing much better before the end.  It won't take much perseverance to earn a patch for yourselves.

I've thankful we dodged most of the rain and it wasn't too bad getting home either.  Thanks for the hospitality of you and your family, DEH.  It's great getting to know more of the Appleseed family.  I love the SC state patch, the state outline fits perfectly with our GA state outline patch.

I hope to see all you guys and the friends you bring at another event soon!  :beer:
