Dunbarton NH AAR 22-23 March 2025 Pistol Clinic

Our first solo Pistol Clinic in New Hampshire was a resounding success.  We were sold out with 15 students and a big thank you to Pioneer Sportsmen for their continued support of all aspects of Project Appleseed.  It was a safe event with history told, points of instruction presented, drills conducted, and PQTs shot. The students were very engaged not only with the instruction, but also the history.  Saturday was windy but a beautiful day.  Sue rocked it out with a loaner pistol and made impressive improvement. Mark and Will are knocking on the door, Linus and Lee were getting there too. Tristan had a great event and was working hard.  Stacey brought her bullseye skills to bear.  Gavin and Chris will persevere and continue to improve.

Saturday also saw first timer Nathan qualify with a loaned pistol with a 230.  Clyde put everything together and earned his patch with a 225. Another first timer, Iago, shot a 225, great job. David showed us how it is done with a Distinguished 241. 

 

Sunday was COLD and WINDY.  Although once the sun rolled around it was noticeably warmer in the sunshine.  We tailored drills to what the students needed and conducted some more PQTs.  Nathan followed up his 230 with a Distinguished 241 - congratulations and excellent job.  From a new instructor standpoint, Linus has attended rifle events in the past and agreed to take on the instructor path.  T.WOLF in NY worked with her to get to IIT0, I was just in the right place to present Linus55 with the orange hat.  Thank you for stepping up and looking forward to seeing you at future events.



Lastly, one instructor re-qualified with a high of 225 and we minted a new Pistol Instructor with a new qualification of 220.  Congratulations to ShaneO for excellent shooting and mmirate for qualifying and meeting the requirements for advancement to Pistol Instructor.
