We had a group of Trail Life Scouts out and as anybody that has worked with these young men already knows these are some good young men.

These are youngsters that are polite, well behaved, and just good Americans all around.

What stands out in my mind about this event is that not one muzzle sweep occurred all weekend long. I think this is a first for me. There wasn't even the beginning of a sweep.

We had a lot of the young men that hadn't done much in the way of shooting before however they picked up on things quickly.  The Saturday morning Red Coat had one person get the Morgans Shingle. On the Saturday evening Red Coat we had 6 people hit the shingle. Nice.

There were a few of the young men that were showing small amounts of frustration as they were having a hard time hitting things. However with a small amount of encouragement they continued. And the lessons worked. It was nice to see them begin to smile when they starting hitting things.

So thanks y'all for coming out. It's always nice to be reminded that there are still plenty of find young men in this country - regardless of what the media would have you believe. There is hope for this country after all.
