This weekend was a mix of crazy weather, being March in Maryland.  Saturday was Sunny; the temperatures were in the upper 50's with 20 - 30 mph winds.  Sunday was very different.  It was very sunny, and the morning was 24 degrees with a wind chill in the single digits due to 15 - 20 mph winds.  The entire day, I never saw a wind chill above freezing.

All of our shooters who came out were brand new to Project Appleseed.  We spent plenty of time on Saturday with instruction and practice for our shooters.  They were all listening and taking our advice on improving their scores.  Everyone was progressing nicely.

On Sunday, we only had two shooters for the day, but they all hung in there tough.  One person, Gabe, was so close to making Rifleman.  His final score was a 206.  The Rifleman qualification was not awarded to anyone, but they all saw huge improvements in their skills.  I was very proud of them all.  Their attention to detail also made it a very safe event. 

I'm looking forward to them returning to claim their well-earned Rifleman qualifications.
