We were excited to be approached by a shooter from many years ago about hosting a private event for her group, this last weekend we finally made that happen! It was a pleasure to work with the Thurston-Lewis-Mason Central Labor Council at the Firearms Academy of Seattle. At multiple points during the day the other instructors and I remarked what a pleasant group of shooters we had, and how nice the range was for our style of marksmanship. We'll certainly be back and hope to run into this group again!

Six shooters came out at dawn with a chill in the air, 23°F according to my car. Mike AKA Bandaid jumped into action and got the wood stove fired up, quickly became everyone's favorite person. The shooters had a good distribution of skill levels and all kept their muzzle downrange, were engaged with instruction, and demonstrated measurable improvement to their shooting skills every time we went downrange. The shooters were rewarded with the warmth of afternoon sunshine and Ryan came closest to a Winterseed Rifleman patch with a 198 on the second and final AQT of the day. In the morning, none of the shooters could place 3 shots onto any sized redcoat except the largest one, by the afternoon, everyone could hit at least one of the silhouettes, two hit the shingle, and Ryan again took the highscore by clearing the entire target!

We had so much fun this event getting to know y'all and hope to see you again, perhaps even at our 250 year celebration of Patriot's Day right there at FAS on April 19th and 20th!
