I have a book I copied about 10-22 maintenance.  It is no longer in print, I've tried and tried to get an original.  If anyone has a copy of the original and is willing to part with it...

Fireman Bob, an applessed instructor, is the author.  I will be reaching out to him for a copy.  If he has more copies, I will share his info if it's OK.

I do not have a hard copy, but that book is by Bob Newton, FiremanBob on the forum. He is a retired shoot boss that hasn't been active on the forum since 2022. But you can try to PM him. He should still get it. He is a great guy. We worked together a lot on the old newsletter.

I purchased a paper copy of the 10/22 Companion many years before Appleseed.  Like you, I went looking for a new copy and found it no longer in print.  I stumbled upon on a reference to it on the Appleseed forum and reached out to Fireman Bob.  He sold me a pdf copy!

I checked with FiremanBob.  The book is out of print and not financially worth reprinting.  I wish I could present better news.

I dont know what it takes, but I wonder if a Kindle version would be cost prohibitive?

I love this resource and want to be sure that FiremanBob is financially compensated for his hard work.  I have other manuals on 10-22 maintenance and they are good but the 10-22 Companion is great.  I suspect if he would give us the info to Venmo or Paypal we would all be willing to pay for the privilege of having a pdf copy.  We would also steer other interested parties in the same direction.

I wonder if the author would sell the usage rights outright? Depending on the cost I'd consider taking ownership and donating it to outright Appleseed for digital publication.

I'm assuming there's a lot of legal considerations involved, though. Cost would also be a consideration as well, of course.

Perhaps Bob may be open to self-publishing through Amazon. I did that for a book I wrote. It works good for books with small runs as they only print them as they are ordered.
