It was a chilly weekend in the Commonwealth, but 22 hearty shooters braved the wind and chills for this weekend's event at Cavalier Rifle and Pistol Club in Montpelier, VA - half of them were under 18. Many longtime friends of the program came out and brought friends. 

I can't possibly say enough about the attentiveness of the shooters throughout the weekend. Very few safety issues and absolutely outstanding performances on the Natural Point of Oreo drill (read: carding the sights) - 14 out of 19 shooters busted the cookie only using their natural point of aim! Huzzah!

The red coat engagement really tells the tale of what this group of shooters was about. For the 300 yard target, we went from 3 shooters Saturday AM to 9 shooters Sunday PM. Saturday evening's red coat featured 10 hits on Morgan's shingle! 5 total shooters cleared a red coat this weekend altogether.
