Jacksonville, FL AAR 2-3 Nov 2024

We had an exceptional weekend at TANGO DOWN SHOOTING COMPLEX in Jacksonville, FL, marking our inaugural event with hopes for many more to come.  This premier range went above and beyond to ensure our event's success.  The owner Rick, a trained chef, even delighted us with his delicious jambalaya.  The event was sold out, attracting 22 dedicated patriots aged 11 to 72, who joined us in support of Lady Liberty.  Attendees engaged attentively as we discussed the three strikes.

Gunjunkie passionately recounted Strike One.  Our newest orange hat, Dee, amazed everyone with her rendition of the Second Strike, and Upacreek finished up with an intriguing Strike Three.  The shooters lingered on every word and asked great questions.

The shooters not only listened attentively to the history, but also absorbed all the instructional points provided by our outstanding instructors as shown by the progress made by all shooters.  Repeat attendees Jemma and Ethan both re-qualified with scores of 227 and 233 respectively, and first-time attendee Robert scored an expert score of 230 to earn his Rifleman patch!

Cecilia and James both improved their scores significantly and are on the road to earning a Rifleman patch.

I would like to extend a special thanks to all of the instructors: Upacreek, who was presented with a Florida state patch -- Thank you for coming from Georgia to provide invaluable instruction.  Also, thank you to Davidjr, Sarea_51, KOF, Dee, Waky, Mrs. Waky, and Gunjunkie.  This team worked very well together and all worked hard to ensure the success of the event.

We had a wonderful weekend at Tango Down for our first event there!  Sara and I are looking forward to having another event there in the future.  It is always a pleasure working with JustKim, GunJunkie, Waky Mrs Waky, David Jr.  It was also great meeting Dee and Upacreek and can't wait to work with them again.

All the shooters were great and came with a teachable attitude.  It was a great to see everyone's smiles at the end of the weekend.

I can't thank you all enough for donating your time.  The event and the presence from your organization of nearly 10 people, completely blew my expectations out of the water.  The amount of setup you all did, the canopies provided for every position, you just went out of your way to make it the best possible experience for shooters.

You all are national treasures.  Please keep up the good work.

The Tango Down Range was incredible. We had a fantastic line of eager shooters. This group really enjoyed the history as well. It was nice to see Upacreek, Dee, Sarea51 and KOF again. Let's do it again soon.

This was an exceptional weekend, we had a fine group of patriots on the line with first class instructors. The range and weather could not have been better and the ranges staff offered all the support you could ever ask for. Congratulations to those who earned the rifleman patch and for those that came up a little short remember a rifleman presist.
