Eleven patriots from IL, NC, MI, KY and NC gathered at Mt Top Range to hone their rifleman skills.
This group came ready to shoot and ready to learn. Unfortunately, Mt Top did not live up to its reputation as a windy range. Except for during a brief thunderstorm Saturday, the shooters had calm conditions. One out of state shooter promised to come back to learn to shoot in the wind. ^:)^

The shooters soaked up the blocks of instruction and the history stories.

Many thanks to the shooters and instructors that made this weekend a success.

Hats off to our KD qualifiers:

The difference between a novice and a master: the novice does it until they get it right. The master does it until they can't get it wrong.

Big congratulations to Pookie (William) for shooting the Morgan's Shingle standing and getting a KD score with his iron sighted M1A ! Very impressive!

Had a great time, Appleseeders are the best. Thank you Eagle Keeper,Booney Stomper and Cleveland for your critique of my prone and kneeling positions.  See you next year  O0
During the seventy years which elapsed between the overthrow of the Stuart dynasty and the victory of Wolfe on the Heights of Abraham, the relations between the American colonies and the British government were, on the whole, peaceful; and the history of the colonies, except for the great and romantic struggle with New France, would have been almost destitute of striking incidents. In view of the perpetual menace from France, it was clearly unwise for the British government to irritate the colonies, or do anything to weaken their loyalty; and they were accordingly left very much to themselves. Still, they were not likely to be treated with any great liberality,â€"for such was not then, as it is hardly even yet, the way of governments...
