This was not a fair-weather patriot's event!  Pt. Townsend weather ranged from cold to hot, clear to stormy, and calm to gusty.  Our line of 17 shooters stuck through it all, with everyone attending both days to help us celebrate Patriots' Day and remember the sacrifices made 249 years ago.

This event truly felt like a celebration of our shared history.  We don't usually get excited questions about what became of the folks whose stories we tell, but we had questions after almost every history block.  I was thrilled to see our shooters connecting with their history, and I suspect some of them will be digging into the history more on their own.

Some of our shooters clearly took the 7th step of firing the shot to heart.  Well over half of our shooters were first time Appleseeders, and most of those were brought along by folks who had already been to one of our events.  Nothing warms my heart quite like seeing shooters from previous events bring back so many new folks.  To those of you who brought along your family and friends, please know you have my heartfelt thanks.

Several of our shooters were one shot away from their Rifleman scores.  Matt and Reid are not merely knocking on the door, but pounding on the door as persistently as alarm riders - and I know they will continue to dry practice diligently.

Congratulations to Zach for making a Rifleman score again!  I know we'll see you back as you continue to persist to score a Distinguished bar.

To our (many) youth shooters Alden, Ida, Wilder, and Wyatt:  Thank you for your attentiveness and willingness to learn this weekend.  Remember that youth is no obstacle to being able to protect Liberty in your communities, and know that your voices often carry more weight than others when you contact your elected representatives.

To all of our shooters this weekend, thank you for your positive attitude and willingness to work through changing weather, equipment issues, and the frustration that always comes with learning something new.  I am proud to know my fellow Americans do not shy away from these challenges.

A special thank you to Jefferson County Sportsmen's Association (JCSA) for hosting us this weekend.  JCSA is incredibly supportive of our program and our mission, and we could not bring you our program without their help.  If you enjoyed your weekend at the range, please let them know at info@jeffersoncountysportsmen.org.  If you're local to the area, please consider a membership at their range.

To Iborche, Manofwords, tionico, ultragtr, and WaterTaxi: thank you gentlemen for the excellent teamwork this weekend.  It is truly an honor to work with such dedicated and focused Patriots.
