What a great weekend some dedicated Patriots! As always, thank you to our host, Sheriff Frank Reynolds, and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department. 10 eager students from Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Minnesota descended upon the Sheriff's range in Canton, Georgia. With a lot to accomplish over the short weekend, we did some brief introductions and got down to work.

We worked off the new manual and the new pistol IBC format and things went... GREAT! Not only were changes well received, but the students really committed themselves which all helped everything to run very smoothly. We began the Pistol IBC like all IBCs. We started with the most important thing. The Mission.

We leaned heavily on the success of the rifle IBCs, re-enforcing many things covered there. And also borrowing the heavy use of small group activity. We kept the atmosphere relaxed, but the students worked hard. We were able to get through everything and answer some amazing questions that the group had during our discussion sessions. And we still managed to finish in time for some out-of-staters to get an early start and for others to stay and try to qualify or re-qualify. Congratulations to .416_Rigby on re-qualifying! And congratulations to ALL the students on a successful Pistol IBC. Thank you all. I look forward to working with you all in the future.

Tennessee Beast

It was truly a GREAT Pistol IBC.  Thanks for all you did, Roswell!!!!

As always, Georgia showed great Southern Hospitality!!!
In giving us dominion over the animal kingdom, God has signified His will that we subdue the beast within ourselves.
John Lancaster Spalding

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Benjamin Franklin, 1775

"A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite; and their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories as tend to render them independent of others for essential, particularly military, supplies."  George Washington 1790

"[T]o preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them…"
- Richard Henry Lee, Declaration Signer

ACCEPT YOUR WOBBLE!

It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again."  Ronald Reagan

 Thanks a lot Roswell - and Leadslinger and TN Beast!  :~

I learned so much at this pistol IBC.  Practicing in the small groups with hands on learning is my way of getting things to sink in.  Attempting to requalify was great too - so close.
