We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

We had an exceedingly positive group with a thirst to learn. Student to Instructor ratio was wonderful and having an instructor for about every two students was a great luxury for students and instructors. Cleveland made the very long trek from Tennessee along with a surprise guest Maximum Ordinate from Alabama. Both wanted to see this range for the first time and to lend a hand in the mission by modeling key areas of instruction in the new Course Of Fire. They were also here to model key components in the COF and to support instructors from North and South Carolina.
The AllStar group of instructors were NeilR, NCSUengineer, DEH, Cleveland, MO and Dchelwig were exceedingly well received.
Great teamwork by all of the instructors!

The real stars of the show however were the students from two different states.
The 9 students started out with a hits count target achieving 3 at 100, 1 at 300 and 1 at 400.
The students persevered through some light showers but an otherwise very comfortable two days.
I think we could visualize the history of the event as told through the three strikes, the stories of dangerous old men and dangerous old women. We were blessed to later sit under the pavilion during the Known Distance presentation and look 150 yards to the covering of the 300 yard firing line and then, look past that covering to the 300 yard burm. It was mentioned that on the morning of April 19th 1775 that this was nearly the length of the column of 800 British Regulars as they marched toward Lexington with bayonets gleaming in the sun.
Students progressed rapidly through marksmanship milestones starting in the very low 100's on the first AQT (with the exception of a re-qualification by Jeff). Scores continued to rise as did the knowledge and marksmanship prowess of all on the line! 140, 157, 190, 207 and I believe a 229, Huzzah

Please spread the word about the program and bring a friend or family member to the next event to help build the program!
Our thanks to our host at Charlotte Rifle and Pistol for their support for over 9 years and for sharing such a wonderful facility with Appleseed.

It was great to make new friends in the Carolinas. Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend.
