Another great weekend at TCSC in the books!  3 students made the pilgrimage out despite the windy conditions to be on the line for this two day pistol event on this brisk October weekend.

The morning's hits count target showed that there was skill present, but we also had some work to do.  The class stayed attentive and soaked up all points of instruction.  After our morning of instruction and drills, Phoebe presented a fantastic telling of the first and second strike to which the students (and instructors) were very attentive and asked plenty of questions.

The afternoon's instruction was well received, and we even had time to cover the Onion of Self Defense, presented by Lycos, and a holster conversation and drawing considerations from yours truly.  Afterward, we snuck in our final redcoat of the day, but Pitcairn's button proved elusive!

Sunday started promptly on time, with sunshine and wind in our future.  We had some leftover points of instruction to go over from the prior day, and we got right to it!  Phoebe finished up her fantastic version of the third strike, and Lycos gave a rousing Sam and Sam presentation.

Great progress was made by all students present.  Mike did fantastic with his iron-sighted glock, and came VERY close to clearing the final redcoat of the event.  His scores significantly improved over the weekend, and I'm confident that he'll be earning a patch at his next event.  Ed, one of our newly appointed blue hats, wanted to try qualifying with God's caliber - which is no easy task!  He made significant strides with his .45, and also made fantastic progress with his 9mm and .22.  Ed requalified as Pistoleerâ„¢ with a 215 on the last PQT of the event!  Mark made significant strides as well throughout the weekend, even with shearing off the screws holding his red dot shroud on!  Mark took the high score of the event with a 228, earning himself that coveted Pistoleerâ„¢ patch.  Mark also won the Big Dot Little Dot challenge with quite a speedy run!

I highly encourage you all to practice what you learned with both live and dry fire. Working under the pressure of the clock is something that some practice can also overcome.

I hope to see everyone on the line at a future rifle or pistol event!
