Littleton, NH - October 14,15 2023

What a wonderful weekend.  25 shooters from 4 states gathered to learn heritage and marksmanship.  Boy did we!

Alder Brook Sportsmen's Association was a gratious range host, and we had extra special help this event:
Corey's Sport Shop, of Littleton, sponsored all the youth tickets, leading to excellent family turnout.  Thank you, Corey's!

300berg's First Strike early Saturday taught us the unique nature of the militia, and the heartbreak and resolve that came from Lexington Green.

MattNH, RedLeg, and Luigi proceeded with the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship: 6 steps of firing a shot, sling use, natural point of aim.

RedLeg, all the way from Ohio, impressed us with Second Strike: Isaac Davis and the North Bridge in Concord.

nhalan and mmirate taught IMC and talking targets in the afternoon, with mmirate concluding the dramatic Third Strike and tale of Miriam's Corner.

We even got in an AQT day one with our large group.

Sunday we alternated drills and AQTs, with a lot of flavor thrown in.  The 15 second transition drill was a huge help for stage 2 and 3.  A flag tour between target checks.
Huge improvement on redcoats, and then a KD presentation.

Following KD, we put our new knowledge to good use, with shots at 100 and 200 yards.  The balloon squad at 100 yards made accurate and exciting shots, and the 200 yard squad showed that
MoA groups tended to shrink as we went full distance.  Huzzah!

The NH cadre has been rooting for 13 year old Pilot from the previous shoots this year, and it finally happened.  Rifleman!!!  So proud of you!

Most Improved

Corrine receives a 2nd Ammendment coin in recognition of her enormous improvement.  For a first time appleseeder, Corrinne scored a 98 on stage 4 of the AQT.  Most impressive!

We had such a great time at this event! The ballon shoot at KD was so cool! We were very fortunate that the rain held off as clouds loomed over the majority of the weekend. Thank you to ALL the volunteers for dedicating your time to come and make Project Appleseed possible. See you again in 2024!
