(I'm finally getting around to putting up better organized posts for my 3D products that are useful for AS shoots and shooters. Putting the demo triggers and mag holder in this one, and another with the slip on sling adapters.)

The links following are to eBay posts and the prices should be the most recent. If you contact me directly on the Forum and pay through Paypal, I take off 5%, or 10% if you order multiple items at the same time.

Demo Trigger for 10/22 Stock

Want a trigger for your demo or practice stock that actually moves and clicks when it breaks & resets?  Now you can have one, created on an oh-so-trendy 3D printer!

It looks like this:

It sounds like this:

Youtube link

Yup, that's one of those 'cricket' clickers as made famous during the D-Day invasions.  Used with a laser pointer, this is perfect for demo'ing six steps and rifleman's cadence, and could also be used as a 'dry practice' trainer where a real firearm is not practical.

This is a friction fit into any stock that will take a 10/22 action.  Made of black ABS plastic aka sewer pipe, resistant to reasonable amounts of abuse.

Be the envy of your local instructor corps!   ;D

I'm asking for $35.95 each, shipping included.  Available on eBay or see above regarding other payment options.

Demo Trigger for M14 Stocks or M1 Garand

I've had a number of requests to adapt the design of my 10/22 demo trigger to M14 and Garand stocks, since so many instructors have them.

Here's what it looks like:

It sounds like this:

YouTube link.  (That's the 10/22 version, but it sounds the same).

This is a friction fit into any stock that will take an M14, M1A or M1 Garand.  Due to variability in stocks you might have to shim a little with duct tape, or file very lightly on the mounting tabs.  Thanks for Fred, V, and FreedomV for testing prototypes with their M14 stocks, and to Beavertail for showing it works in a surplus Garand stock.

These are listed on eBay for $37.95 (it's a bit more complicated build than the 10/22), or see above for direct payment option. Make in 'natural' color ABS plastic.

Demo Trigger for Remington 700 stock

There seem to be a lot of R700 take-off stocks around, probably because some shooters are converting theirs to a chassis system for PRS matches. If you don't already have a 10/22 or M14 stock, give it a look since they can be cheaper. Try CDNN or look around on eBay.

This version of the trigger does the same thing, but looks quite a bit different since the R700 stock is sort of 'old style'. Comes in in black ABS plastic, which looks good with Remington factory polymer stocks. Listed on eBay at $37.95, or see above for other payment options.

Thanks for Monkey for the idea and beta testing.

Demo/practice mag well for 10/22 stock

Upgrade your 10/22 demo stock with a real, working mag well! Now you can really show the mag swap mechanics in demos, as well as getting your own swap time down without waving a real rifle around.

This is a two part build. There's a forward part that's attached to the takedown screw hole, and there's a rear part that slides into the trigger group cutout. The rear part is sized such that if you have one of my 10/22 'clicky triggers' you can glue the two together for a permanent install. Printed in 'natural' ABS plastic to make the 10/22 triggers.

Now available on eBay.

One thing I learned in this process is there's variation in the length of the mag well cutout among Ruger and aftermarket 10/22 stocks of various materials and brand. There's also more length variation that you'd think among new and well-used 10/22 mags; if you think new ones sometimes work differently than your old reliables - you're right. Because of that, the 'plunger' that retains the mag in this demo model is an adjustable screw. I ship it set to work with a Ruger wood 10/22 carbine takeoff stock and one of my well-worn mags. You can then adjust it to work best with the stock and mag(s) you use for demos and training.

Thanks to Beavertail for the idea!

Custom Builds

I don't keep these in stock, but can do them at no extra change, with a slight delay:

M14/M1 trigger in black ABS

Also one addition cost variation of the 10/22 trigger:

Add adjustable take up and trigger weight mod to 10/22 demo trigger: +$10

Before turning it loose on eBay, I'm going to offer a limited number here on the Forum at a reduced price, since I won't have to pay eBay fees.  I'm asking $27.95 for now, via PayPal. I don't want to post my email here on a publicly visible board, so PM me if you are interested for my PayPal address.

Bump, and one update: I'm switching to making all the 'clicky trigger' versions out of black plastic, once current stock is exhausted.

(I have two 3D printers, one primary and the other backup. Unfortunately, they use different sized plastic filament, so for every color I use regularly, I have to keep two spools of plastic in stock, which has become a PITA. My original idea was to use the off-white plastic to prevent issues with 'too real' triggers, but I've never heard of any problem with that, so black it is, henceforth.)

Do you have the click trigger and mag well for 10/22 on e-bay yet?

Black version of 10/22 clicky trigger is now live on eBay, and will become the standard build:

I've ordered a couple of these.  Thanks again for offering them.  To the other instructors - for whatever it's worth, I think these are great.  It really helps the students understand the different steps, particularly the trigger reset.

The black version of the 10/22 clicky trigger is now standard (OP updated accordingly), and the demo mag well will also be black in future, and I'll soon list it on eBay. Only the M14/Garand clicky trigger is still standard in white, and will change when current stock is exhausted.

The 10/22 demo mag well is now listed on eBay:

I also intend to work up a AS Forum-only discounted bundle with the 10/22 'clicky' trigger.

I just received my clicky trigger for my demo 10/22 setup and it's very nice.  Thank you!
