Orlando, KY July 8-9, 2023 AAR

We had a great weekend in Orlando, KY. Sixteen shooters filled the line with most of them being new to Appleseed.
The weather on Saturday was very hot and muggy, but we managed to dodge most of the rain. The day started off with the safety instruction and the telling of history.
The shooters were eager to learn and worked hard at improving their skills. This showed with fantastic improvement on the red coats on Sunday, with Luke, a first time shooter clearing the red coat in the afternoon. The weather Sunday was cooler with only a little rain.
Sunday we had a fun team shoot to see which team could remove the most of the eye of the evil TV. Team 4 of Vicki, Chris, Luke, and Noah won, but the competition was close.
Several of the shooters were close to a rifleman score, and I'm sure if the persist, they will get it.
It was great to have Gabriel and Brigid in period garb for the entire weekend. Gabriel also demonstrated the manual of arms with his musket!
A big thank you to Reclaimer and his family for hosting the weekend, and to the team of volunteers, Reclaimer, CarrollMS, Griffin, Hemi286 and TinaMarie.
Thank you to all the shooters for coming and persisting through the weather with great attitudes. I hope to all of you on the line again.
