Nine eager Patriots arrived at On-Target outfitters, Canfield, Ohio ready for Appleseed Pistol Clinic.  Everyone came with eagerness and anticipation of tuning their skills, the outcome: everyone had a very successful weekend.  Our mix of center fire out weighted our rimfire and in the end we had equal success with both.

The morning red coat showed surprise to a few seasoned shooters. Not as easy as it looked.  As the weekend progressed all our shooters tuned, changed, adjusted and took new instruction. The improvements were showing up in everyone.  What great accomplishments were seen by all. A few were quicker than others.

Our Patriot's Day events were filled with history, along with great comradery and safe pistol handling.

A tribute not only to the shooters but the great team of instructors that tirelessly worked with all participants.  Thanks to them, we saw one shooter go from a few shots on paper to a final PQT of 192.  Centerfire shooters who were shot gun patterns, now became center black groups.

Our red coats were slow to start, with only 4 hitting the 44 yard to 8 out of 9 and 4 buttons on the final day.  By the end of Sunday, Aaron T. & Ryan cleared the elusive target.  Like those OHIO patches!

Our drills and practice sets were effective, but on Sunday morning the team felt they needed remedial on a few drills.  This proved to be the right thing to do.  Saturday we had two Pistoleer™s: Ryan at 221 & Jeff at 218.  After our Sunday we had repeat scores from: Ryan with 213, 222, 211, 231; Jeff followed up with 216 & 219.  Not to be out done: Aaron T. shot his Pistoleer™ with: 216, 211, 211; Aaron F. 212.  Congratulation to our four new Pistoleer™s.

Special recognition to our two lady shooters Jane & Ashley.  Starting with limited experience, they showed determination, willingness to learn and improve. One going from 75 on first PQT to 150's; our next lady to a high of 192.  Outstanding!!

Mother nature held off until the end of day activities and our Patriot Volley was completed uninterrupted.  The silence of the moment could be felt and understood.

Sunday Mother Nature returned again, but not before we could relax with a little fun on the Speed Tree.
When the tie breakers & shooting ended, the center fire winner was Ryan and Rimfire was Aaron T.

Thanks to a great host, On-Target Outfitters.

Thanks to a great team of instructors, your energy was outstanding, history great and instruction ON-TARGET.

Awesome event at a great facility. On Target Outfitters is a wonderful host for Appleseed events. Looking forward to the May rifle clinic.

WOW the rain on Saturday afternoon just as we were closing down for the day. That sure was impressively loud on the metal roof.

Thank you to all that attended this first pistol clinic at this location.
