11 attendees joined 4 instructors at Interlake Sporting Association in Redmond WA for a full weekend of fundamental rifle marksmanship and early American history.  Despite the chilly PNW weather, we were mostly spared of drizzle on Saturday which made it very convenient for us to get the majority of the instructing out of the way.  Doc gave us the first strike of the match and Ultragtr provided strikes 2 and 3 to wrap up the events of Apr 19 1775.  After putting into practice the skills taught at each instruction block, everyone's groups started to shrink more and more.  Saturday wrapped up with one AQT and promises of more.

Sunday came and promised a good amount of liquid sunshine, the club generously provided pop ups which combined with pop ups provided by instructors and attendees ensured that everyone stayed dry as much as possible.  We wrapped up Sunday with 4 AQTs along with lots of history provided by the instructors.  We finished the weekend with almost everyone shooting in the 160-180s and Curtis finished the weekend with a high of 198.  The road to Rifleman requires persistence and constant practice, we hope each of you will continue to practice the skills taught over the weekend, and more importantly, we hope that the sacrifices made by those before us to preserve the rights and freedoms you all enjoy, have made an impact on you.  We hope that you will take those reminders to heart and become more engaged civically and become our 7th step by brining along friends/family to the next event and help us grow.

The best parts of the weekend?  Doc earned his well deserved Red Hat and Ultragtr made the next step to become IIT3.  Congratulations Doc and Ultragtr!

We had a great group of folks out this weekend who were willing to put up with our liquid sunshine.  It'll be nice to see you guys and gals back to continue the quest for your Rifleman's patches!
