Very proud of the small group for putting up with almost freezing temps in their journey to prove they have what it takes to become a Rifleman. Four of our shooters attended a seed prior. John G returned with his son, John G Jr, who had prior experience shooting. This allowed us to move quickly through a review of the Six Steps to Firing a Shot to practicing transitioning all before lunch. I told the First Strike during lunch then got these shooters back on the line for their first AQT. The afternoon we were able to complete four AQTs.

Our shooters must have needed to thaw out because the morning Redcoat only saw one shooter effective to 300 yards. The entire group gave their all on last Redcoat. Four proved to be effective to 400 yards and John G and John G Jr cleared it. I believe all five would have earned their Rifleman except Jeff M experienced groups widening slightly throughout the evening. Believe his red dot may have a slightly loose screw. Considering his 4 MOA groups shot earlier, I have no doubt Jeff will be earning his patch soon.

After our last AQT, two shooters, John G Jr and Madison M earned their first Rifleman patch. John G and Devlin M re-qualified. Their high scores were:
John G Jr - 210
Madison M - 210
Devlin M - 218
John G - 227

Congratulations to each of you! And Many thanks to our host range, Anne Arundel Fish and Game.
